As you all might be knowing, Debian Squeeze ( 6.0 ) was released a few days ago and there might be many like me eager to update. However as i found out that due to debian's overwhelmingly strong Free Software philosophy, no non-free repositories are enabled by default and so you will have a hard time searching for those drivers and plugins. Here are some of the repositories which will ease your task . I am giving a step by step account on how to do this
1. Open a terminal and type
2. Add the following lines to the opened file
3. Save file and exit.
4. Now rebuild the apt-cache. Issue the following command
su -c ' apt-get install synaptic'
6. Now that you have synaptic. Install your hearts away.

2. Add the following lines to the opened file
# Testing
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free
#Testing Security updates
deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib
deb http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volatile squeeze/volatile main contrib non-free
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org testing main
3. Save file and exit.
4. Now rebuild the apt-cache. Issue the following command
su -c 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade'5. The lack of a gui package manager in the base install can be a put off, especially for newbies. So before anything else, install synaptic, imho the best package manager of the linux world.
su -c ' apt-get install synaptic'
6. Now that you have synaptic. Install your hearts away.
